Since they established google-mars, many amateur atronomers and planetary explorers have been looking through satellite images for signs of life. Many people believe that, if there were such signs, NASA or some government agency would never let the average person know.

But that hasn't stopped the plethora of pictures being posted on facebook and twitter, apparently showing massive bas-relief portraits of famous Americans carved into the Martian landscape.

Sandra Andrade posted this viral Mars image of "Abraham Lincoln" on YouTube (below).

This image of the Mars Aldabaron Mountains is said to resemble Donald Trump.

Spokesman for NASA's Mars Expedition Project (MEP), Tyrone Rock, said that the images are just illusions. "People see what they want to see."
